We are always in search of writers, graphic artists, cartoonists, layout designers, distribution volunteers, and anyone with a good attitude from any discipline at UofT!  Experience is encouraged but not required; we're here to publish a paper, but we're also here to have some fun and learn a little along the way.

We publish once a month and meet twice a month. Come out and be a part of the University’s official humour newspaper.

The Toike Oike, much like other campus newspapers, follows a monthly printing schedule (more typical of magazines).  Sometime near the start of the month, all of our writers and staff get together and discuss their ideas for the upcoming issue.  Since we publish once a month, we allot two weeks for article writing and development, after which we all meet a second time to go over what we have, polish the submitted works, and develop any unfinished articles.  The following week is used to layout the paper itself; once the paper is complete, it is presented to a review committee, published, and then distributed to over 30 locations across campus.

We usually meet the Saturday after distribution to talk about ideas for the upcoming issue. eMail toike@skule.ca to find out the exact date of our next meeting.
