VIDEO GAMES REVIEWED BY MY CATS (WITH PICTURES)

Star Stable Online

Reviewed by: Marmalade

This is a game I have enjoyed for years; it has perfect controls for getting a face massage from a human’s knuckles. I wish they kept the “you need to keep pressing ↑ or ‘W’ to maintain your speed” feature in the controls because it means that there needs to be continual massaging of my face from whomever is playing. It is also an excellent game for sitting behind a human on a desk chair as lumbar support, as you get warmth from both sides- from the chair, and from the human playing this game. It also has multiple different cats that can be equipped in the horse’s saddlebag, so you can pretend you are galloping at breakneck speeds virtually as well.

This cat cockroach game idk what it’s called

Reviewed by: Snow (and Brie!)

I might be a bit of an ipad kid now. Wonderfully roachy visuals that make me feel like I’m in the Pit or the MedSci indoor bamboo garden, but without seeing irl roaches. I mostly preferred to watch the roaches run across the screen than trying to catch them, but that was fine because I love watching stuff on screens. Also great entertainment for my little cousin Brie, because she left me alone to play with the roaches.

Genshin Impact

Reviewed by: Marmalade

Makes the laptop a great napping spot. Using an old Macbook Air (not given away for free on Discord, unfortunately) means that it heated up a lot running this game and made the fan go like crazy, which made it a wonderfully warm sleeping spot with some white noise to lull me to sleep. It also has cats that you can have in your house, but they can only be pet if you have a furnishing that is locked behind a limited event. I don’t like that it encourages humans to spend their money on gacha gambling for anime girls instead of more food for me though.

Youtube Bird Videos

Reviewed by: Snow

I LOVE SCREENS, I love watching the birds on the screens, I wish birds were real. Marmalade said he caught one once but idk. Watching these videos makes me want to fly like Superman, or perhaps, a bird. Though this isn’t an interactive video game, it’s something I love to watch on computers.Marmalade even damaged a computer screen trying to catch the birds so that should count for something.

Mouse iPad game

Reviewed by: Marmalade

Oooohhhhh, it’s so fun catching mice on an iPad! Beautifully cheesy background that allows you to imagine what cheese you want to pair with your mouse when you catch it. Though the mice are rather small, this is still a fun game to play when you would prefer thinking of a bigger catch than the roaches.

String Game!

Reviewed by: Snow

Did I mention that I love screens? I love playing with real strings but apparently they are “a choking hazard” and I need “human supervision when playing with them,” so this iPad game was a great combination for my love of string and love of screens. As you can see in the photo, it also served to get me to do some great stretches!

TOUCHING GRASS

Reviewed by: Milya

You screenagers need to get on my level and get outside, get into nature, and make your own discoveries! Touch some grass! I don’t like stuff on computers because it will never compare to the real world outside. You can’t have a firsthand (failed) experience of befriending skunks if you don’t go outside and say, “hi!” I swear, we’ll get along better next time. There are real birds and rodents to hunt and dogs to scare out there! It’s so much more stimulating than any video game.
