An exerpt from the speech made by EngSoc VP Communications candidate Xinyang Wang.

“I hope you’re ready for this because I’m aboutta go beast mode. Good evening everyone, my name is Xinyang Wang, EngSci 2T9, and I’m running for VPC.

I think the issue that might be on people’s minds is why choose a first year? Good question. I’ll get back to you on that next year when I’m a second year.

Anyways, communication, no matter how good the content, requires presentation. The spirit of SKULE shouldn’t be bogged down by stiff formal standards. While that kind of performance might be good for outsiders looking in, it does nothing for the student experience. That is why my main campaign promise is to add yaoi to all official communication. Long gone will be the days of normal emails and normal websites. Together, we will usher in the age of yaoi. SKULE should represent the students, so I will commit to make a student run yaoi hedge fund where yaoi will be collected from the student body and drip fed in each email.”
