In another heartbreaking case of child human trafficking, a teen girl spotted hanging out with members of the boy band One Direction was found by paparazzi and internet sleuths to have been sold to the British band.

Toike journalists, eager to get in on the scoop, found that the 16 year old had been sold to One Direction by her mother, who was promised drug money by the band’s manager. Y/N had barely the time to toss her hair into a messy bun one morning before her mother cruelly discarded her to One Direction.

Known to her friends at School McSchool Memorial School in Toronto as a shy, unassuming, imaginative girl, Y/N never really concerned herself with One Direction. Her close friend, Addison, dragged her to a One Direction concert (part of the band’s Take Me Home Tour) a week before Y/N was sold. Addison says that Y/N had little interest in the boy band’s performance, preferring to read her copy of the Young Adult novel Divergent throughout the concert despite the girls’ front row tickets.

Human rights groups are rightfully concerned about Y/N being sold, and that One Direction’s management has purchased a child to hang out with the group’s members. Though Y/N claims she has warmed up to the situation (as she now lives in the boy band’s mansion in LA, where all of the band members also reside), psychologists are concerned that she has developed Stockholm Syndrome.
